Day off!
I haven’t a day off in the week for a couple month. God, it was such a good day. I finally found time to do some screenprinting. I’ve learned 2 years ago how to do it, but haven’t found much time to do some. Also, it was my friend Sachiko’s birthday recently, and i wanted to give her a nice present, even if i’m late. So, i made that card with a layer of gouache, then i silkscreened the bird on top of it. While at it, i silkscreened my new Moleskin agenda!
If you want to know how to screenprint, here’s a pretty good basic tutorial.

First mini project with Sarah! A pleasant afternoon in her apartment. Sarah told me she was planning on doing some screenprinting on Sunday afternoon so I decided to join her!
I printed the anchor design I actually want to get tattooed soon. Since I was running a little late, I just applied a fast and bold black color overlay.
The afternoon was a great opportunity to revisit the basics of screenprinting. We didn’t have the perfect paper but the fabric print pretty much worked. I ended up filling up the missing parts with a brush.
